Teledyne e2v Honored by 2026 VSD Innovators Awards

Grenoble, FRANCE, June 23, 2026 — Teledyne e2v, a Teledyne Technologies [NYSE: TDY] company and global innovator of imaging solutions, announced today that its Lince5M™ NIR state-of-the-art high-speed CMOS image sensor was recognized among the best by the 2026 VSD Innovators Awards. Votes placed by the engineering community named Teledyne e2v as a Platinum honoree for its Lince5M NIR.

Designed for demanding imaging environments, Lince5M NIR delivers enhanced sensitivity across both visible and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths, enabling sharp image capture at very high speeds, even in low-light conditions. It is well suited to applications such as motion capture, sports analytics, industrial metrology, retinal imaging, and intelligent traffic monitoring.

With a resolution of 5.2 megapixels (2,560 × 2,048), Lince5M NIR combines high frame rates with excellent low-light performance, achieving a quantum efficiency of 35% at 850 nm. The sensor supports frame rates of up to 250 frames per second at full resolution with a 12-bit ADC, enabled by 24 LVDS output channels. Based on Teledyne e2v’s 5 µm global shutter pixel architecture, it offers a dynamic range of 55 dB in standard mode and over 100 dB in High Dynamic Range mode, ensuring reliable performance in high-contrast scenes.

The 2026 VSD Innovators Awards celebrates outstanding innovation in machine vision for the engineering industry. Every year, Vision Systems Design showcases and rewards companies, designers, and innovators who have contributed to the advancement of technology through their creative and impactful designs.

2026 VSD Innovators Award winners are chosen by the qualified judging panel chosen by the editorial staff at Vision Systems Design. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze honorees are recognized annually.
