Lince5M™ NIR Overview

Lince5M™NIR is a 5.2M digital high-speed image sensor designed for excellent performance in a wide range of applications, including those requiring the ability to see in the NIR spectrum. It features an electronic global shutter and High Dynamic Range (HDR) capabilities. With a 35% Quantum Efficiency (QE) performance at 850nm, it is the ideal product for demanding applications such as sport analytics, motion capture, medical imaging, and industrial metrology.
 

5.2M, 1-inch, 250 fps, Global Shutter CMOS Image Sensor

Lince5M NIR is a 5.2M digital high-speed CMOS image sensor. Built on our existing Lince5M, Lince5M NIR delivers enhanced performance across a wide range of environmental conditions, excelling in both low-light high-dynamic range imaging and high-speed high-resolution imaging.

This image sensor features a global electronic shutter, HDR, windowing, binning, and sub-sampling features, all housed in a robust pin-grid array ceramic package.

High Performance for Demanding Applications

Lince5M NIR is based on active CMOS pixels with pinned photodiodes, which deliver sharp images at fast frame rates, reaching up to 250 fps at full resolution and 12-bits in ADC mode. Utilizing the windowing feature, it can achieve 990 fps in HD (1,280 x 1,024) resolution.

The sensor’s 5 µm pixel pitch provides optimized QE in both visible wavelengths (60% at 550nm) and near-infrared (35% at 850 nm). Lince5M NIR also reduces the need for additional illumination, lowering the overall cost of the system.

Lince5M NIR is uniquely suited for applications such as motion capture, sport analytics, sorting, and industrial metrology, where capturing fast moving objects in low-light conditions is essential.

 

 

An Optimized and Robust Design

Lince5M NIR is housed in a robust 28 x 28 mm 181 Pin-Grid Array (PGA) ceramic package. It’s 1-inch optical format is compatible with a broad range of C-mount lenses, for cost-effective camera integration.

With an operating temperature range from -40°C up to 125°C, Lince5M NIR is well suited for both indoor and outdoor applications.
